Recently, climate change caused by global warming has been cited as one of the reasons for the increase in wildfires. This phenomenon is no exception to the Korean Peninsula. This year, wildfires have already broken out 1.5 times more than the same period last year, causing enormous damage to forests.
These are satellite images of the wildfire that occurred in Daejeon in April 2023. We worked in band combinations with RGB and CIR(Color Infrared) with these images taken at the time of the fire, before and after the fire. The sources are KOMPSAT-3 satellite data.
